The Salt Path (2024)

The Salt Path (2024) is a poignant British biographical drama directed by Marianne Elliott, marking her feature film debut. Adapted from Raynor Winn’s acclaimed 2018 memoir, the film stars Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs as a middle-aged couple confronting profound personal upheaval. Facing the dual challenges of sudden homelessness and a life-altering medical diagnosis, they choose to embark on a transformative journey along England’s South West Coast Path—a 630-mile trail stretching from Minehead to Poole.

The narrative unfolds against the backdrop of the rugged English coastline, capturing the couple's physical and emotional odyssey. As they traverse diverse terrains, the film delves into themes of resilience, love, and the healing power of nature. Their journey becomes a testament to human endurance and the search for meaning amidst adversity.
